As you may have seen IBM announced a Global Alliance with tiny SugarCRM. IBM literally only has 20 total Global Alliance partners including the likes of SAP, Oracle, Cisco...the who's who. Partnering with Cloud Based Sugar is certainly an indication that the Enterprise is Ready and IBM is going to support it.
You mentioned ERP integration in the cloud...well that's already there. Check out IBM's recent acquisition of Cast Iron Systems. Currently Cast Iron has many success stories of integrating Salesforce.com data with SAP and other off premise ERP applications....Sugar is next.
