A woman in Florida was floored recently by a T-Mobile cellphone bill that reportedly totaled nearly a quarter of a million dollars. After intervention on the part of a local TV station’s news department, though, the carrier slashed Celina Aarons’ bill from $200,000 down to $2,500. The charges were incurred by the customer’s brother, who’s covered on Aarons’ family plan, when he used international roaming data services while traveling for two weeks in Canada.
For seniors, and other people's interested in a basic cellphone service - nothing. But being warned about unexpected charges, that's worth a fair penny. As is your budget sensitive people get more, and more sensitive as the financial market struggles, this sentiment will appreciate quite a lot. As is, there is only Tracfones SVC brand that looks out for seniors, and pensioners. But if this 'new' way forward for contracts take s a hold, it might offer up some real other options for those same cash strapped individuals. I think it's a good thing.
