GanttProject is an impressive project management tool that can be a useful alternative to similar applications locked onto other OS platforms. For enterprise and small-business users, GanttProject’s cross-platform access and easy data portability make it a winning choice for Linux users. Compared to other project management tools for Linux such as TaskJuggler and Planner, GanttProject delivers fewer planning features. But what it does have available may be all that you need if you are not in a large corporate setting.
I tried this one and didn't like it too much. Besides that hideous adware-like picture in the middle of the GUI, its possibilities are quite limited.
Then I tried 2-plan (http://2-plan.com/) and I liked it much better. It approaches project management with much more flexibility. You can use different paradigms, not just Gantt graphs, and its interface is much cleaner. I'm not in love with Eclipse and Java apps, though, so I'm still not completely happy.
All in all, I think there's still room for a good native project management application on Linux.
