The improved box features a 1,305 MHz Broadcom processor, WiFi connectivity, and integrated Slingbox and Hopper Transfers. For viewers, this means more recording options and more ways to enjoy TV. Hopper offers a few things network executives don’t care for so much, chief among them the ability to skip commercials. The result is, in a word, fantastic — if you aren’t a Madison Avenue ad executive.
The new Hopper isn't just for TV lovers, it's also great for the sports lover. I travel a lot for my job at DISH, so often times when the home team is playing, I can't watch the game at home because I'm in another country. Using DISH Anywhere, I can stream games live to my mobile devices, so I don't have to wait until I'm back in the country to watch it from my DVR.
