I was diagnosed with mild asthma as a kid. I don’t take any medication, yet knowing that illness lives in my respiratory system means I try to be especially conscious of what I’m breathing. Air quality is difficult to control, so a personal air purifier is something that fundamentally interests me. Looking not unlike the USB microphone I bought and swore I’d one day use for podcasting, Wynd filters allergens, dust, smoke and other pollutants. It can operate automatically, or you can manually adjust the output by twisting the top.
The trouble with small air filters is that they do not filter large enough volumes of air. They may improve air quality slightly in a office cubical but a whole house filter or even room filter they are not. Your better off spending money to install something on your HVAC system then a small device.
I see so many gimmicks rather than useful products these days. More is spent on design that effective service of the product. Does flat clear speakers really benefit sound quality which would be my first priority over looks. I always ignore the cutesy stuff over functional and quality.
The first gadget looks so cool! I have seen many air filters before but this looks really nice! This may be too small for a big room, but it's perfect for 1 twin-bed room like mine. The only thing, I don't know how soon the filter will be full since it's quite small, but this may be worth giving a try.
