Google Home is an interactive personal assistant and entertainment center that takes full advantage of the company’s deep advantages in Web search, AI and machine learning. Google’s vision is to place a customized version of its Google Assistant technology into the hands of every customer, said CEO Sundar Pichai, so it can be wherever they are.
Bottom line, do you want this kind of access to you in your home? I thin many technology addicts find this kind of personal assistant addictive. I am one who doesn't find Siri useful let alone a personal home assistant. I have plenty of options to find information on my own. I'm sure Google or Amazon or even a Microsoft would love for me to embrace a virtual assistant everywhere. But for me there is not a chance for that to happen.
