Every day, I get calls from reporters looking for comments on stories it are writing about AT&T. I’m sometimes asked whether I love or hate AT&T. After giving that question some thought, let me set the record straight: a little of both. I have been a fan of AT&T for many years — in fact, even before it was AT&T. I am talking about SBC, BellSouth and Cingular. However, that does not mean it does everything right. During the smartphone explosion of the last few years, AT&T Mobility has done quite a bit right but has also had its challenges.
basically AT&T is certainly not the company it used to proudly present itself to be
allow me to elaborate
they used to give a damn about customer service
but now with so many companies out there and ATT hosting their customer service overseas which means half of the customer service agents dont even speak proper english in any event they just became a company that blends in with the rest of the cell phone companies which means "garbage"
they dont care to help anyone the reason is that the reps have there own problems so helping customer clientelle is the last thing on their mind!
It puzzles me endlessly how a reseller MVNO like Tracfone can sell prepaid airtime at cheaper rates than the company it buys the airtime from. Surely AT&T can manufacture airtime for cheaper than tracfone can, and must therefore be cheaper than the company reselling?! Maybe tracfone save by having less proficient customer service, but AT&T has a bad cs rep of it's own - so are AT&T taking the ps? Still I shouldn't be complaining at all, I've had a tracfone SVC phone for a few months now, and haven't had any problems whatsoever. And I know, the SVC plan runs on AT&T's network.
AT&T Mobility, for Better and for Worse
