After watching Verizon and Verizon Wireless over the last few decades I have developed a respect and admiration for the company. Some of you, however, have noticed how Verizon is starting to act, well, differently lately. Is something starting to change? First of all, we have to admit Verizon is still strong and growing. Last week, its quarterly stock report looked good, on the wireless side anyway. So its investors are obviously still happy — so far. What about the customers? Could that change things?
also take in consideration that verizon home phone is a thing of the past and therefore verizon needs to find ways to screw the end consumer
to make up for the failing home phone service...
so yes verizon did change and is changing
but i doubt its for the better...
Jeff, here is where I think Verizon Fios is failing. They are catering to young people with plenty of money to burn. As a senior, I am looking for a slower internet and TV package without a million sports and specialized channels. They simply don't offer that. They are losing customers everywhere I look in my older neighborhood. The dishes are on the roofs and the digital antennas are up. It's time they created a more basic package! They are missing a significant portion of the customer base....older users who only want to use email and some face book and basic surfing with a reasonable choice of TV for around $60 month.
