Healthcare technology has really made incredible advances over the last several years. However, while there is an app for almost everything, much still seems to be stuck in the Fred Flintstone era. Doctors still carry around thick folders with years of patient history. Yesterday, this was the only way to capture all of a patient’s information. However, over the last several years, we are seeing an information technology revolution change healthcare. Doctors are spending more time with their computers during patient visits.
It's obvious the first commenter ama-at is not a brain surgeon. Hey, I have never heard of you either! Why attack the writer with absolutely no supporting data to back up your comments. What makes you the expert? The fact is, Jeff is correct. Doctors are notorious for not having good business heads and technology can be overwhelming to them. I have seen it first hand in the offices. The learning curve takes a while until doctor's offices are smoothly running....but the technology is so very important and useful that they all are learning to cope with the changes.
