By a 3-2 vote Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission approved a sweeping new Internet regulatory framework commonly referred to as “Net neutrality rules.” Long-winded monologues filled with references to innovation, transparency, freedom — and staff kudos — kept commission members talking for well over an hour, as they took to their respective bully pulpits to praise — or criticize — the much-debated rules. While it produced “more heat than light,” the debate ultimately yielded a “strong and balanced order,” Chairman Julius Genachowski concluded.
The Internet had a natural balance but now like China, Venezuela, Cuba,Iran & Russia etc. They will control the horizontal, they will control the vertical. They are in our face now. They took control of the internet when they had no authorization & there is silence. If the Fed govt. Declares Martial law in NY & I live in Cali. The television media would remain silent & the internet will be filtered. Who would know? We are moving into a most dangerous time in our history. This is a Giant step back for Freedom & our planet &, a Giant step Forward to a Dictatorship here. Is Honduras a safer place to live FREE?
It's a Dark Day for Net Neutrality Opponents
