Earlier this week, digital music Web site MP3.com, Inc. was sued by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on behalf of no less than 10 major record labels.
further to all of this and something I have never heard anyone mention is simply this: WE, (hard working person who is lucky if they make 30,000 a year) are sick and tired of paying for songs we DON'T want. WE have been buying the traditional method of CD's / records for years and being mistreated too. Do they care about us the buyer?? They should wake up cuz that is exactly what is being done to us. I refuse to pay $20.00 for a cd and get (if I am lucky) 3 songs I actually want or like. Technology has now given us a way to be "fair" to everyone. Why can't they see it? They scream about fair, well be fair to us too. Stop forcing us to pay for something we don't want. Sell your music on the internet charge /per song - We download it , burn it, and we now have a cd with songs "WE" choose to have NOT what the artist/music associations says we will get! Quit cheating us! It's garbage and they have been bleeding us for years..time to stop. I will not buy another cd unless something is done about it in our favor too - not just theirs!!
