The MVNO idea may not advance beyond the test phase — and if it does, it likely won’t happen for some time — at least five years. Apple reportedly has been huddling with telecommunication companies for years on the MVNO play, and its interest is an “open secret” in the industry. However, Apple on Tuesday issued a denial that it has held MVNO discussions.
