Microsoft has moved up the public prerelease date of the new edition of its Office 2003 productivity suite to Monday, September 15, to let some of its business customers download the desktop application bundle about two weeks sooner than originally planned. The software — which will be released to the general public in October — will include the familiar quintet of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access (in some versions also Visio, FrontPage and Publisher) and — depending on which version you buy — much more.
