A filing Tuesday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the regulatory body that monitors publicly traded companies, indicates that Dell last year generated most of its new jobs overseas, in the fastest-growing markets there, including China. Dell’s disclosure confirms the pattern in global IT spending growth last year, but business analysts said the outsourcing numbers need to be placed in context. “Even the experts don’t know precisely how many U.S. jobs have been, or will be, sourced overseas,” states a new report by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
You know, I don't have such a problem with Dell sending these jobs overseas as I do the terrible service provided by these overseas agents. I personally refuse to deal with these folks anymore. I bet the time it takes to get a solution while talking to one of these people overseas, mostly India it seems, triples due to the language barrier. For your own sake, don't call without a Dell part number that they can look up, or your on hold for at least 15 minutes. I have gotten to the point where I will call my sales rep for any problems I may have, and let them transfer me to someone in the states. It it absolutely not racial, nor do I hold anything at all against folks in India, but when I call Dell for a solution, or to order a part, I dont have the time or the patience to deal with someone who I can only understand about once every 4 words.
