More and more digital devices are being put in homes as a result of consumers doing such things as moving audio files from PCs to home entertainment systems. In response to the upswing in demand for networked services in the home, the HomePlug Powerline Alliance is moving to make the technology to connect those devices more readily available. While power line technology has been around for a few years now, the Powerline Alliance seems to have tapped into renewed interest in the technology.
Paul, are you sure of the prices for HomePlug modems given by "Dell'Oro Group"? $150/HomePlug device is wrong. There are plenty to be had for $50-$65 and I have even seen a few at $35. csw
Hi: I've heard plenty of this technology in the past, and googling this morning I found this article. I just got interested in doing some research, get a few units, give them a try at home, etc. Could you please forward as many links as you can, about what products are there available, what brands, where on-line could I purchase from? Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Carlos H. New Zealand carlosh[at}linuxservices.co.nz
