The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the agency that supervises Internet domain names, has renewed its contract with the United States Department of Commerce to continue to perform the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority function. The IANA function includes Internet Protocol address space allocation, protocol identifier assignment, generic and country code top-level domain name system management and root server system management functions.
