As technology becomes a large part of many consumers’ everyday lives, the risk of overexposure to new advances grows for people of all ages. Children, however, may be especially at risk of becoming too dependent on devices and outlets such as television sets, cell phones, music players, video games and the Internet. Part 1 of this three-part series explores the potential that exists for babies and young children to be adversely affected by too much exposure to technology before they are ready. This second installment takes a look at the growing problem of video game addiction.
Hi
My name is Eva and I work for a magazine for British young men.
We are currently doing a spread on the dangers on internet and video game addiction - linked in with the mania surrounding the new Grand Theft Auto game.
We would like to speak to a sufferer of this form of addiction, a British young man that our readers could relate to. It would take the form of a brief interview that would be published in the magazine later this year.
If you would like to raise awareness on this issue please contact me ASAP.
