Shortages of the PlayStation 3 video game console should be resolved by May, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America chief executive Jack Tretton. The console remains a hard-to-get item in some areas of the country. “April or May is when we feel like we’re going to catch up to demand and have product fully in stock across North America and stay there,” Tretton stated. “Our goal is to fill shelves across the United States. Our goal is not to have empty shelves; it’s to have full shelves.”
By the time 2010/11, Microsoft and Nintendo would have released new consoles. So this assessment that Sony would start gaining ground is completely illogical. If it takes it over 5 years to start gaining on its competitors then the Sony management team should be sacked and there should be a complete overhaul of the design team. As per rumors, Xbox 360 is going to see a price drop sometime this year and a new version of 360 is definitely going to be released by end of this year. Wii is also going to see more changes in the next 2-3 years. And since when did more powerful games become better than enjoyable games. So according to this dude, Sims is a crappy game because it does not have the high-def graphics and yet its popularity is sky high. These Sony guys need to get a reality check done asap.
