More than 40 percent of U.S. households with televisions now also have video game consoles, according to a new report released Monday by Nielsen Wireless and Interactive Services. By the fourth quarter of 2006, 41.1 percent of all TV households — representing 45.7 million homes — had video game consoles, compared with 39.1 percent in 2005 and 35.2 percent in 2004. That represents an increase of more than 18 percent since the end of 2004.
