The 20 million figure includes licenses sold to PC manufacturers, upgrade and complete Vista packages sold to retailers, and upgrades ordered through the Windows Vista Express Upgrade program from Jan. 30 to Feb. 28.
MS has a habit of announcing SHIPPED versus actual sales - do we know what's the scoop here? MS announed there are 10 million XBoxes "sold." But NPD announced actual store scanned sales as 5.4 million ... substantially different. Is MS playing with numbers again? My Costco's pallet still looks full.
