Mobile phone powerhouse Nokia has acquired the small, privately held media sharing company Twango — a 10-person outfit that currently works out of a cofounder’s basement in Redmond, Wash. Despite the company’s small size and basement digs, Nokia clearly sees potential in Twango’s solutions and vision. By acquiring Twango, Nokia said it will gain an easy way to help people share multimedia content through PCs and mobile devices. Twango is a free service that lets users upload files from mobile phones via e-mail or via a PC with a Web browser.
