California-based LeapFish launched a new style of search engine last month, offering users a multi-dimensional search aggregator that combines several features to provide more focused results. This one deserves a prominent spot in your browser bookmarks. Similar to the Gogimon Search Channel, which launched last month as well, LeapFish has a look and feel that enhances users’ comfort levels with Google, Yahoo and MSN Search. Simply clicking one of these three search engine buttons — they appear above the LeapFish search bar — displays that engine’s results for quick comparison.
LeapFish is an absolutely a ripoff and a scam, the reason I know is because I am one of their victims. Incredibly high pressure tactics were used to sell me the service. A local hospital was trying to get through to me and I was begging this "salesman" to get off the phone so I could take the call and see how my significant other was doing (heart attack victim).
I called and emailed them within 12 hours telling them I did not want their service and they then started the threatening phone calls several times a day sometimes within minutes of each other, different people same threats.
Recently I spoke with a gentleman who promised that since he had recently taken over their marketing department and he was trying to clean up their image that he would look into assisting me. Evidently he's decided that further hassling of me is required.
I am now working with my credit card company to keep the charges reversed and that's become a struggle in and of itself.
...it really isn't doing anything new, and considering the past troubles of its CEO Ben Behrouzi I would think twice about working with them on a professional level. the tactics they have repeatedly employed and apologized about every time (before turning around and using them again) are beyond inappropriate and have gotten them in trouble on more than one occasion.
As an example, if this message board starts filling up with numerous overly positive responses check the IP addresses, they've been caught astroturfing before.
In short I wish everyone good luck and hope they have a pleasant experience using LeapFish, but as a personal recommendation I would advise an appropriate level of research beforehand (as befits engaging in a business agreement under any circumstances).
