Of course, those same parents are given plenty of opportunities to show their appreciation by spending lots of money on Pixar-related merchandise; not just the Blu-ray disc purchases, but Buzz Lightyear dolls, Nemo and Dory stuffed animals, and Mike and Sully figurines.
