The Android-based tablet will feature a 10-inch screen and will be closely linked with Verizon’s FiOS digital pay-television service, according to “people briefed on the plans,” the Financial Times reported. A U.S. launch for the new device could take place as early as this fall. “Clearly, the success of the iPad has unleashed the floodgates of competition from all sides,” said IDC analyst Al Hilwa.
