Apple CEO Tim Cook has called for a campaign against fake news. Its purveyors — largely interested only in getting the most clicks — are defeating the people who are trying to tell the most truth, he said. Fake news is “killing people’s minds in a way,” Cook remarked. The worldwide epidemic of fake news requires a crackdown by both government and tech, he suggested, but care must be taken not to step on the freedoms of speech and the press. Cook suggested the impact of fake news could be curbed by a massive public service campaign.
First off news should be just that. Factual stories not tainted by ideology, bias or political pressure. The reader, viewer, or listener should make up their own minds of what that news means to them. The reason the US news media is so un trustworthy is because they deliver the news in a biased and not completely factual manor. You cannot claim your fact based when you over look parts of a story. That's not your responsibility as a news organization to filter news. If you create fake news or less than a factual based story as the news gatherer knows the facts. You then become a propaganda type agency which doesn't do any news agency any good in reputation. CNN is a perfect example of using their news platform to spread less than accurate news in a biased manor. Trump has ever right to call out bad news and correct the agency. But at the same time it must not repeat the very biased reporting its accusing the news agencies of. Re iterate the facts and let the news agencies step into their own demise.
> Are we sick and tired of a President who doesn't check his facts
If you don't think that Sweden has a problem with gangs of immigrants assaulting and looting, YOU are the one who needs a closer look. But all that aside -- are you going to whine on somebody's blog every time Trump blows his nose? For the past eight years, we have put up with a fake president who broke every one of his campaign promises, lied constantly about practically everything, committed war crimes, sponsored terrorist groups, frivolously wasted tons of the taxpayer's money, and waged an unconstitutional war on whistleblowers that surpassess the corruption of all past presidents combined. But you and your kind remained silent. Now someone else is in office for a couple of weeks, and you're already "sick and tired." Well, boo-hoo-hoo. Do you know what this, my precious little snowflake? #==(><) It's the world's smallest violin playing "My Heart Bleeds for You." Bottom line is: We voted for Obama to prove we aren't racist ; We voted for Trump to prove we aren't stupid. So if you want to discuss what "we" want, I'll tell you straight up: WE don't need your approval when Trump accomplishes more in eight days than Obama did in eight years.
