The key is to understand your customers. E-tailers tend to forget that customers actually interact with their web sites and react to their campaigns. There are innovative tools, which let you pinpoint the exact problematic areas in the online operation, but for some reason e-tailors don't use them

What kind of "innovative tools" are you speaking about? Could you please give an instance of possible "problematic areas" in e-tailing that would definitely require usage of such tools? I need this for research, thank you very much.
