Microsoft agreed Wednesday to pay Iowans up to $180 million to settle a class-action lawsuit that claimed the company had a monopoly that cost the state's citizens millions of dollars extra for software products. The $179.5 million settlement means individuals in Iowa who bought certain Microsoft products between 1994 and 2006 will be eligible for cash. Companies with multiple copies can seek vouchers that will enable them to buy computer equipment and software.

Can you say STUPID? Yes this seems like a good idea. But no proof of purchase. How many people who don't even have a computer will apply for the money? But, lying can bring a charge of perjury. Right!!!
Let's see who would benefit from this the most? Can you say attorneys? Do you think these attorneys are doing this for the benefit of the people of Iowa? I think not. They were only thinking of themselves.
Why not take the $180 million and purchase some computers for the schools.

Given the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant, if my employer requires me to return to the company's location in 2021, I will...
Agree because I'm fully vaccinated.
Agree if the company institutes a mandatory mask requirement and other safety protocols.
Comply reluctantly, because I can't afford to lose my job, but start looking for different employment.
Resign immediately so I can dedicate all of my time to find a job I feel is safer.
Resign because I'm not vaccinated and don't want to risk infection to myself or others.
