Only two weeks after Egghead.com announced it was laying off 77 employees to
cut costs, the computer
software and hardware e-tailer said its chief financial
officer, John Labbett, is leaving to "pursue a new opportunity
closer to his home in Los Angeles."

On March 7th, two days after the massive layoffs, Labbett said that
Egghead secured US$20 million from IBM's commercial financing wing.

How important is social media to the success of your business?
Highly -- Social media is essential to our business model.
Somewhat -- We do see benefit from social media, but without it our operations would continue.
Minimally -- We're on social media because that's expected, though it's influence on our success is negligible.
Not at All -- Social media is not useful to our business.
