A group of U.S. and Taiwanese companies has begun selling what they call the first small form factor Linux personal computer for US$399. Linspire, developer of a consumer desktop Linux operating system, AOpen and Mirus Innovations have launched the so-called "Linspire Mini Koobox," which starts at $399 after a $100 mail-in rebate. The Linspire Mini Koobox is being sold online through Mirus Innovations as part of its Koobox line of desktop computers.

system76 has been offering a mini-sized Linux (Ubuntu) computer for a while now.
