Yet another relic of the Internet boom is fading away, with former investor darling Net Perceptions saying it will return most of the $59 million still left in its accounts to shareholders as it prepares for an apparent shutdown. The company's business has been in steep decline for three years, and it has lost $220 million since its founding in 1996. The enormous size of the loss obscures how brightly, if only briefly, Net Perceptions once shone. "There was boundless optimism," said Steve Larsen, who joined the company in 1997 as vice president of marketing.

As Bill Gurley stated so correctly in his latest ABOVE THE CROWD Column, "It has been more than three years since the now infamous economic bubble burst, regulators, congressmen, and press remain remarkably insistent on identifying a blame agent for the excesses of the late 1990s. This is despite the fact that economic bubbles exist precisely because everyone is caught up in the game: the SEC approved every S-1 filed in the late 1990s; congressmen welcomed the tax income from excessive capital gains (and even planned for it indefinitely); and the press as you know, hailed Enron's rise as much as its demise."

Given the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant, if my employer requires me to return to the company's location in 2021, I will...
Agree because I'm fully vaccinated.
Agree if the company institutes a mandatory mask requirement and other safety protocols.
Comply reluctantly, because I can't afford to lose my job, but start looking for different employment.
Resign immediately so I can dedicate all of my time to find a job I feel is safer.
Resign because I'm not vaccinated and don't want to risk infection to myself or others.
