Aiming to parlay its soaring popularity as a search engine into e-tail glory, Google has launched a shopping search site, quietly releasing a beta version of Froogle during the busiest shopping week of the year. Merchants need not pay to be listed on Froogle. The beta version refers shoppers to merchant sites and does not include any of the central-shopping features, such as shopping carts and portable credit-card wallets, that exist on shopping portals like MSN Shopping and Yahoo! Shopping.

Wow... this is old news. Froogle is indeed a strong presence and player in the comparison shopping industry. I work for a company called PriceComparison.com who just started in 2004. We hope to become as prominent as Google within a few years.

What was your initial reaction to news of the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack?
It demonstrates that all critical infrastructure sectors are at high risk of disruption by cybercriminals.
Everyone will be paying for this attack in the form of higher energy costs.
Governments need to work more closely with private industries to protect networks for the sake of public safety.
It's a global problem. An international alliance must be formed to hold the perpetrators accountable and prevent future attacks.
