The U.S. government is searching for ways to reduce the fog of bureaucracy to improve communication with citizens, and has turned to the cloud as a key strategy to achieve that goal. In addition to improving services to taxpayers, use of the cloud could save cash-strapped federal agencies millions of dollars. With an annual tab of more than $80 billion for information technology, the federal government is in a unique position to leverage the potential efficiencies offered by cloud computing.

A well-implemented CRM system can replace manual processes that create significant organizational inefficiencies. But CRM systems don't just create efficiency by reducing the use of inefficient processes.
