Move over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and make room for yet another retail-inspired shopping event. Free Shipping Day is here -- or rather, it will be here on Thursday, Dec. 18 -- the last day someone can order a gift online and have it guaranteed to arrive on Christmas Eve with free shipping. Free Shipping Day is the brainchild of Luke Knowles, who hatched the idea just a few weeks ago. There are now 250 retailers participating in the campaign.

This is certainly something retailers are using to attract attention. According to iStorez, free shipping is currently the #1 type of promotion retailers are currently offering. Find those deals at http://www.istorez.com/s/free%20shipping.
I found great free shipping deals at www.cybermondaydiscountcodes.com

This is well timed for last-minute Christmas shopping! I do wonder if this free shipping day should have happened a few days ago though - how many people still have gifts left to buy? Either way, I think it's a great idea to try to get a few more sales before the end of the year.
Anyway, a bunch of smaller stores (in addition to the large retailers listed in this article) are also participating. A bunch of those are here - http://cheaptweet.com/search?q=free+shipping
