NASA has awarded HP a seven-year contract that could be worth as much as $5.6 billion, HP announced Wednesday. Under the IDIQ contract, HP will deliver desktops, workstations and blade PCs with Linux and Unix capabilities, as well as servers and printers, among other offerings. Government purchasers will include the entire federal government and its authorized prime contractors, as well as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, according to HP.

What was not mentioned in the article is the other winning SEWP IV contracts that feature HP as a strategic vendor partner.
HP would have seen some revenue from SEWP whether they bid direct or not.
On the same note, in addition to business run through their SEWP contract, they will also see sales of HP equipment through the contracts of other SEWP IV winners, so this could be slightly bigger for HP than the article projects.
