Microsoft could soon face another private antitrust suit after talks with Adobe broke down over the level of support Microsoft would include for portable document format (PDF) in its upcoming Office 2007 suite. Reports say Microsoft expects Adobe to file suit, most likely in Europe, where regulators have taken a particularly hard-line stance against Microsoft of late, after talks between the two companies broke down in recent weeks.

The interesting thing about this story is that Open Office, www.openoffice.org, has been providing the same support for PDF creation for a couple of years now. I am not by nature a fan of Microsoft, but, I wonder why Adobe is making a big deal about Office having this capability when an open source project that is headed up by Sun is doing the same thing? I simply just do not think it's right persay to slap on company on the wrist about it and then pretend not to see another company doing exactly what you slapped the other one on the wrist for. I agree that Microsoft has its rough edges, but if you're going to punish one, why not punish all?

Given the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant, if my employer requires me to return to the company's location in 2021, I will...
Agree because I'm fully vaccinated.
Agree if the company institutes a mandatory mask requirement and other safety protocols.
Comply reluctantly, because I can't afford to lose my job, but start looking for different employment.
Resign immediately so I can dedicate all of my time to find a job I feel is safer.
Resign because I'm not vaccinated and don't want to risk infection to myself or others.
