If you dislike your insurance company, you are not alone: Worldwide, less than 30 percent of consumers have positive experiences in dealing with their insurers, according to Capgemini's World Insurance Report 2015. North America saw the largest decline in satisfaction -- 8.3 percentage points. Capgemini blamed the slide on a combination of demands for better service from Generation Y -- people 18-34 years of age -- and factors such as inadequate customer engagement and knowledge, big data, regulatory changes and economic uncertainty.

There are some very common sense reasons why people don't like insurance companies. They have nothing to do with computer tech though:

1) When insurance companies find ways not to pay for claims
2) When you go to renew and find the company has discontinued the kind of coverage you had
3) When filing a claim leads to being cancelled.

In general, we find that insurance is a necessary evil, but that it really can't be counted on when we need it.
