Personalization sits at the very heart of marketing performance improvement in B2B as well as in B2C companies. The latter camp has made enormous strides in recent years in being able to present customers and prospects with relevant content, offers, recommendations, and other types of messages via online channels, including the company website, in an automated and systematic fashion. IP mapping is around 75% accurate, when I built the tool http://www.unlocktheinbox.com/locateip/ using the maxmind database, we noticed this. But 75% is a good majority. With HTML it becomes even more advanced, because it has built in GEOIP Locator, which is much more accurate, because it uses the IP Address lat, long, nearest Cell Tower, GPS to help get a better location of where you are currently browsing from.
