In a trial that has already seen its share of strange bedfellows, the Justice Department called on its longtime nemesis Microsoft to help build the government's antitrust case against Oracle. Douglas Burgum, senior vice president of Microsoft's business solutions group, testified Wednesday that his company had no intention of trying to sell business applications to large customers, supporting a key point in the Justice Department's case to block Oracle's US$7.7 billion hostile takeover bid for PeopleSoft.
