A virtual equivalent of fisticuffs has broken out online, and this time it’s between a frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination and a once-ardent supporter. Joe Anthony, a Los Angeles paralegal who set up an unofficial MySpace page for Senator Barack Obama in 2004, has been pushed out of his space. “I was blocked from the profile,” Anthony said, “and the content was altered to redirect traffic to the new, ‘official’ profile. MySpace has, in fact, granted access to the profile without my permission.”
Hapless Joe Anthony is insincere to ask for money from Barack Obama when people didn't know Joe from Jack, except for his promotion of Barack. It really seemed Anthony was a true patriot doing what he believed in, helping Obama win the Democratic nomination for the good of the nation. Now it appears Anthony was acting with his lawyer's mind, hoping to reap a profit from every activity. Joe should have cooperated and been grateful, instead of trying to bleed Barack for money. People were going to the site because of Obama, not Anthony. I hope Joe still supports Obama and realizes his mistake in acting greedy. When you have a law degree, it kind of comes naturally to ask to be paid for everything you do. To Mr. Anthony; Joe, thanks for getting the ball rolling. Your volunteer efforts to support the most qualified, reasonable presidential candidate and your time are priceless--and should remain so. What you did was worthy but unless you're running for president, realize it's time to yield the Myspace floor to the man who you used to attract friends and who you thought was and still is the best next President fo the "United" States of America. Now grab hold and help pull the Obama for president wagon with everyone else, and be proud you helped his candidacy. Pride and a sense of accomplishment are worth more and are more valuable to you personally than any amount of money. This is the best government in the world, compared to every other government, and Obama will keep it that way unlike Bush Jr. who is dismantling the liberties enshrined in the US constitution--all in the name of security. I'd rather be free than 100% secure. Was it Ben Franklin who said "he who trades liberty for security has neither?" Whoever it was I agree and so does Barack. We need to defend our shores, not send our kids to foriegn countries die trying to spread our form of government. We had to endure a civil war, which fertilized our land with our own blood, to achieve the federal union and representative democacy we enjoy today. Bush can't just impose representative democracy on a country or the reluctant country will try to fertilize their land with the blood of our soldiers. Elect Barack. He understands America and he remembers Viet Nam, unlike the current Bush Monarchy.
