Whoa, Maybe Apple Really Is Serious About Enterprise IT


Apple seems far more serious about its relationship with IBM than this summer's cordial announcement seemed to imply -- and at the same time, Apple's new AppleCare for Enterprise service offering is taking on support for shared customers with IBM, plus promises to buddy up with enterprise customers. "Our team of experts, side by side with yours," Apple's site notes.

Plundered Pirate Bay May Be Back in Business


After being shut down for two days by a police raid on its Stockholm data center, The Pirate Bay appears to have regrouped, and it may be more trouble than it's worth to pour law enforcement resources into dismantling it, suggested tech analyst Jim McGregor. "The situation must be given high priority, and you have to ask whether there's enough incentive for the U.S. and EU governments."
