It didn't take 5 days as President to assess W's performance as Gov. In Texas he was more of a figurehead, his Lt. Gov did much of the work.

During the debates he couldn't explain his tax plans, demonstrated that he has a very limited understanding of Geography among other things.

He spoke about Saddam Hussein as if the Gulf war took place under the Clinton admin. Of course the fact that Hussein is still in office is due to his Daddy and not B.C.

The presidency is too big for any one person, but at least you would hope for something better than what we got. Without Cheney to pull his string he would be totally worthless.
