As the tech world focuses on digital media, quarterly earnings and search engine functionality, the battle of the future is starting to take shape. Some analysts are calling it one of the biggest high-tech trends for the second half of the decade. What is it? A one-word battle cry: "Virtualization!" Indeed, the virtualization waters are getting hotter with two announcements inside as many weeks at separate ends of the emulation spectrum.

This article is not well informed. PearPC has been fully emulating Mac hardware and running OS X on Linux and Windows PC's for about a year now. Have a look at www.PearPC.net ...

This is by far the worst investigated article I've ever come to read. CherryOS is a complete ripp of
a well known OPEN SOURCE project called PearPC.
All this Arben guy did was to steal our code that is publised under the GNU PUBLIC LICENSE and is trying to make a commercial product by stealing our hard work and property. Feel free to read about it at www.sourceforge.net/projects/pearpc or www.pearpc.net
PLEASE CORRECT THIS

And in all of this how did you miss what PearPC has been woking on? And the accusations that CherryOS is nothing more then PearPC (an open source GPL'd emulator) repackaged??!?!?

The opensource community has been up in arms over the announcement of CherryOS. Right now there is no software actually available. Arben made some screenshots available, but then somethign became apparent very quickly. That CherryOS is actually using stolen code from the GPL opensource PowerPC Mac emulator for x86 CPU's, PearPC ( http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/ ). I've done some research myself and found Arben to have violated the GPL before and has on several occasions been shown to misrepresent himself and the facts. (Link: http://www.artworxinn.com/alex/arben.htm ) In short, CherryOS is a scam. PearPC is the real thing.
