Microsoft Corp.'s pledge to cooperate with last year's landmark European Union ruling against it "doesn't seem to be working at all" and could result in more fines, an EU official said today. After hearing from Microsoft's competitors, the EU's antitrust office found that the system the company had set up to improve the interoperability between its Windows server and other software companies was insufficient.
I actually kind of hope MS never does change its tactics. I would love to see the EU put a complete embargo on the sale of MS products until they stop acting as an anti-competitive monopoly. lol But I doubt anyone would have the courage to go that far, given the high level of dependence many of the parties involved have on Windows products.
