NTT DoCoMo said today it has developed five models for the new 901i series of 3G FOMA mobile phone handsets, featuring virus scan functions and an enhanced audio system, and will start marketing one model, the SH901iC, nationwide on November 26 with other models to follow. The 901i series features a surround-type 3D audio system for ringing-tones with twin speakers, i-appli games and security scan for automatically checking whether data acquired from outside contain viruses, the mobile phone service operator said.

It's truly interesting thought to add virus scan function to cell phone!

Nice to see some Anti Virus being added as sold to the handsets. Wonder what the monthly charge is?
