Dropbox has completed a $250 million Series B financing -- a windfall for a company whose fundraising up until now has netted $7.2 million. The financing was led by Index Ventures. Dropbox plans to use its new riches to accelerate its growth, make acquisitions, pursue partnerships and otherwise grow the company. This year it is already on track to triple its user base. Dropbox claims that it now has more than 45 million users saving 1 billion files every three days on its service.

I am a wedding photographer and need to transfer tons of pictures to my clients on a regular basis. I used to use upload based services but recently discovered Binfer. The best thing I like about it is that I can simply drag and drop a bunch of pictures and send them to my client and they get sent directly to their computer, without uploading anywhere. Check it out: http://www.binfer.com
