Amazon WorkMail Lifts Back-End Email Burden From IT's Shoulders


Amazon has entered the corporate email space with WorkMail, which promises to preserve the user's front-end experience while shifting the back end to the cloud. "WorkMail works the same, whether you're using an Outlook client or a phone," said Private.me COO Robert Neivert. "This makes it easy for IT organizations to switch over. The back end disappears, and it still looks the same for the users."

Coinbase Bitcoin Exchange Off to a Rocky Start


Coinbase has an impressive roster of backers, among them the New York Stock Exchange, who believe it can offer a secure, regulated service for trading bitcoins. "Having an exchange that's under some sort of regulatory oversight that conforms to somebody's rules is probably a good thing, as long as those rules don't extend into cyberspace," remarked Frost & Sullivan analyst Mike Jude.
