The major television networks and movie studios, tired of seeing their programming pirated online, have been gradually moving to offer it via legal Web sites and download services. There are two models for this legal Internet distribution. Some shows and movies can be purchased or rented from services like Apple's iTunes or Amazon's Unbox. You pay a fee for these downloads, which don't have commercials, and you can keep any videos you buy to watch repeatedly even without an Internet connection.

With no dis-respect to Hulu or Walter, I have a point of contention with "but you can't keep it." Any modestly savvy techie can indeed keep it to do with as they like. ANY Video or Audio that streams into my system is mine to keep with a little effort. The phoney DRMs and "but you can't keep it" statements are marketing speak, buzz word laden hype for the benefit of CEOS and investors. Of course, I can keep it.
