The Blu-ray Disc Association is trumpeting a survey it commissioned to demonstrate its lead in the DVD standards war. The poll suggests that as the battle between Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD heats up, consumers prefer Blu-ray as their format of choice. Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates conducted the poll in which consumers were given a side-by-side comparison of the two formats. Poll results show 58 percent of the 1,200 consumers surveyed preferred Blu-ray Disc, 26 percent were undecided and 16 percent preferred HD DVD.

Since Microsoft signed onto HD-DVD and not Blu-ray, then I specifically approve of Blu-Ray DVD and NOT HD-DVD.
I'll sign onto anything that can invalidate any contracts or agreements they have with manufacturers of a "different" standard.
Let the stupid X-Box use unwanted uncompatible media.
It's NOT Microsoft's job to arbitrarily decide standards for the rest of the world.
