The 5-year-old subscription streaming video service known as "Hulu Plus" has doubled its subscriber numbers in the last seven months to more than 2 million, according to numbers bandied about by the company. Hulu is a joint venture between investors and television operators: Comcast's NBCUniversal, Fox Entertainment and the Walt Disney Company. Competitors include Netflix and cable providers like Time Warner Cable that can stream live television to unrooted Ice Cream Sandwich OS devices. Hulu Plus, the paid model, is now available on seven Android tablets.

I tried Hulu Plus myself and I have to say the limitations of what device can play what is the big problem with streaming. Its not just Hulu Plus but Amazon too. Netflix has probably one of the best streaming options. But content is lacking there. I found any of them to have wide gaps in content. Nothing is perfect of course. But I stick with Amazon and Apple because I do not want to be caught up in paying a subscription and then having to buy certain shows on other pay as you go sites because they don't have what I want.
