Techie trying to E-Commerce
Posted by: ebitch 2002-03-26 14:19:06
Forgive me for sounding a bit uninitiated. I am building a site for a small business in which I am involved. The technical implementation of the site is not a problem, except for online ordering. I am browsing through the various credit-card processing companies and finding that each one wants to host my product database or control the backend of my pages. Is there a way to use a processing service and still control my backend without paying through the nose?
Thanks in advance,
Robert Kausch

Where are you, I am presuming you are in the US? Hence have a look at the card processors or banks. If you are outside US let me know, and I will give you some.

Robert
We evaluated this ourselves and decided to use Paypal - which is used worldwide and obviously supports secure encryption. The model they use is a small percentage of each transaction - worth checking
